A Trusted Global Fine Wine Ecosystem
The award-winning global fine wine ecosystem where brands grow and collectors connect
WineWorld Xplorer, or WWX, is an award-winning global fine wine ecosystem and real-time trading platform built to connect the counterparties of fine wine more intelligently. We help wineries, châteaux, wine merchants, private collectors, buyers, private clients, and corporate users discover, buy, sell, store, and manage fine wine through one connected platform. Anchored in Hong Kong and active across the UK, France, and Singapore, WWX brings together trusted provenance, live multi-market inventory, storage, logistics, and wine-as-an-asset tools for a growing global community of 19,800 collectors and buyers.
More than a marketplace
WWX was not created to be just another listing site. Fine wine ownership is rarely limited to one transaction. A buyer may later become a collector. A collector may eventually sell part of a cellar. A merchant may need a discreet route to move physical inventory. A producer may want a stronger way to present current releases, library stock, or special allocations to a qualified international audience. WWX is designed around those real journeys, connecting discovery, buying, selling, storage, logistics, valuation, and future liquidity in one ecosystem.
What makes that different is the way WWX joins together both the commercial and the cultural side of fine wine. We support the movement of bottles, but also the movement of trust, story, value, and opportunity. For producers, that means market entry, brand storytelling, activation, and a more premium route to visibility. For buyers and collectors, that means transparent access, provenance-conscious sourcing, professional storage, and the tools to manage wine as both pleasure and capital.
Built around the real wine world
The fine wine market is rich in heritage and expertise, but it is still often fragmented. Prices can be opaque. Access can be uneven. Storage, shipping, valuation, and resale are often treated as separate conversations, even though they are all part of the same ownership journey. WWX was built to close those gaps.
By connecting live inventory, practical services, and long-term collection oversight, WWX gives counterparties a more complete way to participate in fine wine. Buyers can compare and acquire more intelligently. Sellers can go to market with more control. Collectors can view wine not only as something to enjoy, but as something to preserve, manage, and, when the time is right, realize.
Who WWX serves
WWX serves the people who shape the fine wine world from every angle.
For wineries, châteaux, and brands, WWX offers a route to market that combines provenance, premium presentation, and stronger access to Asian and international buyers. Estates can list current vintages, library selections, and special releases in an environment that respects brand equity and storytelling.
For wine merchants, négociants, stockists, and agencies, WWX provides a trusted professional marketplace for provenance-verified physical stock. Trade sellers can manage multi-currency listings, multi-location inventory, and discreet selling within a platform built for fine wine professionals.
For private collectors, WWX offers a confidential channel to optimize a cellar, release capital, refine holdings, and bring exceptional bottles to appreciative new homes with appropriate provenance support.

A SNAPSHOT OF WWX TODAY

OUR VISION
Our Vision is to be the world’s most trusted fine wine ecosystem—where iconic and emerging brands thrive globally, and collectors and connoisseurs discover wine as both liquid pleasure and lasting wealth.
We believe the future of fine wine belongs to platforms that combine trust with access, expertise with technology, and transaction with stewardship. As the fine wine world becomes more global, more data-aware, and more connected to long-term ownership thinking, WWX is positioned to help shape a market that is more transparent, more efficient, and more human.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to connect discovery, storytelling, market access, trusted trading, storage, logistics, valuation, and collection management in one ecosystem. We want every participant in fine wine — buyer, seller, collector, merchant, or producer — to feel that the market is easier to understand, easier to enter, and easier to navigate well.
WWX exists to reduce friction without reducing seriousness. Fine wine deserves a platform that respects provenance, rewards expertise, and supports confidence at every stage of the journey.
FOUNDER
Mariana Lam, Founder & Chief Facilitator
WWX was founded by Mariana Lam, Founder & Chief Facilitator. Her role and title reflect what makes the business distinctive. WWX is not only about listing wines; it is about facilitating connections between markets, counterparties, services, and long-term ownership decisions.
Mariana built her expertise through WineWorld, a traditional wine import and retail business established in 2008. That firsthand experience gave her deep visibility into the industry’s fragmentation, opaque pricing, and operational friction. Those realities became the catalyst for building a smarter wine commerce model — one that bridges counterparties rather than leaving them isolated in different parts of the market.
Today, that founding vision continues to shape WWX. Under Mariana’s leadership, the platform has grown into an ecosystem where technology serves trust, where provenance supports value, and where the wine trade can move with more clarity between East and West.
A human business, strengthened by expertise and data
WWX is technology-enabled, but it is not faceless. Behind the platform is a team that combines wine knowledge, commercial understanding, data capability, and cross-market experience. The live WWX team story includes trilingual capability, WSET-qualified expertise, data science, and experience across Hong Kong and China, the USA, and the Middle East. That matters because fine wine decisions often need judgement as much as access.
WWX’s broader platform capability reflects that same blend. Market price benchmarks, critic scores, portfolio tracking, and AI-supported insights are designed to support better decisions, not replace human expertise. The result is a platform that can feel efficient without losing the confidence that comes from real people who understand the category.
Why WWX matters now
Fine wine is becoming more global, more transparent, and more dynamic. Buyers are comparing markets more actively. Collectors are thinking more strategically about storage, valuation, and future liquidity. Producers are looking for stronger direct visibility. Merchants are looking for more efficient routes to serious buyers. At the same time, communities around fine wine are growing more connected, more international, and more selective.
WWX matters because it gives that evolving market a better operating model. It helps great wines travel further, helps serious buyers buy better, helps collectors manage more intelligently, and helps trusted sellers present stock in a way that matches the standards of the category.
Closing paragraph
At its heart, WWX is built on a simple belief: fine wine deserves a better-connected world. One where producers, merchants, collectors, and buyers can meet with more trust, more visibility, and more possibility — and where every bottle can move through the market with the context and care it deserves.
