The Genesis of a New Burgundian Icon
In 2025, the fine wine landscape witnessed a significant structural evolution with the unveiling of Vignoble des Cabottes by Artémis Domaines. The group—known for managing legendary estates such as Château Latour and Clos de Tart—has created this new identity to provide a dedicated, high-precision platform for the most prestigious parcels of the Côte de Beaune.
This is a “re-founding” of legacy. These vineyards were formerly the crown jewels of the historic Bouchard Père & Fils estate. By transitioning these 35 hectares of Grand and Premier Crus into the independent Vignoble des Cabottes, Artémis Domaines has signaled a commitment to parcel-level technical sovereignty. While the ex-Bouchard identity remains a cornerstone of the terroir’s history, the Cabottes name represents a future-focused desire to express the absolute quintessence of these climats without compromise.
Philosophy: The Human Precision of the “Cabotte”
The estate takes its name from the cabottes—the traditional dry-stone shelters found throughout the Côte d’Or. These structures represent more than history; they symbolize the intimate connection between the vigneron and the soil.
To maintain this connection, the estate operates with a “bespoke” management style. Under the guidance of Technical Director Frédéric Weber and the Artémis leadership team—including Commercial Director Victor Pépin, who recently shared this vision with collectors in Hong Kong—the estate has implemented a rigorous labor model. With a ratio of one dedicated employee to every 1.7 hectares, the level of detail applied to these vines mirrors the precision of a high-end financial instrument, ensuring every grape reflects its specific micro-terroir.

Terroir & The 2023 Inaugural Vintage
The 2023 vintage serves as the inauguration of this new era. It is a vintage defined by “heightened vigilance” and extreme sorting, resulting in wines that balance structural power with crystalline purity.
Grand Cru White Wines: Density & Tension
-
Montrachet Grand Cru: Unanimously regarded as the “King of Kings.” The 2023 release is magnificent—full-bodied and powerful, with a nose of linden and acacia supported by toasty, grilled notes.
-
Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru ‘La Cabotte’: A rare 0.21-hectare parcel yielding a wine of exceptional density. The palate is deep, with notes of lemon tart and a signature saline finish.
Premier Cru Red Wines: Fragrance & Pedigree
-
Beaune Premier Cru ‘Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus’: The estate’s most distinguished climat. This 2023 release is incredibly fragrant and refined, showcasing a dense bouquet of wild strawberry and blackberry.
-
Volnay Premier Cru Les Caillerets (Ancienne Cuvée Carnot): A site with heritage dating back to 1775, the 2023 captures the “energy” of the vintage with intense black fruit and silky, age-worthy tannins.
The Future of the Estate
As the brand matures, the wines of Vignoble des Cabottes will be vinified at the Château de Puligny-Montrachet. This new, eco-designed facility meets the highest High Environmental Quality standards, ensuring that the “Liquid Gold” of Burgundy is produced with technical excellence that matches its investment rarity.
For the modern collector, Vignoble des Cabottes represents the ultimate intersection of Burgundian heritage and tech-forward viticulture—a new benchmark for the Côte de Beaune.
